FIA GT1 World Championship
Paris, March 1st, 2010
On March 1st the FIA GT1 World Championship was launched in Paris. Just like the other eleven teams Swiss Racing Team (SRT) presented itself with one of its sports cars at the French capital’s Place Vendôme. After the event was opened by FIA President Jean Todt at the Automobil Club de France the GT cars were unveiled at the Place in the presence of Jean Todt and the CEO of SRO, Stephane Ratel. The representatives of Swiss Racing team, SRT pilot Karl Wendlinger and managing director Othmar Welti, unveiled the Nissan GT-R and presented the new design of the Nissan Motorsports International Co., Ltd car for the first time.
The Swiss team’s preparations for the FIA GT1 World Championship’s first race in Abu Dhabi on April 17th are almost finished. Therefore the cars will be loaded on the ship for the crossing on time.
