Sachsenring (GER)

Swiss Racing Team . FIA GT1 World Championship . Portimao After only one weeks time the next race of the FIA GT1 World Championship will take place at the Sachsenring circuit in Germany. Swiss Racing Team travelled directly from the Algarve (Portugal) to the Sachsenring circuit in Germany. Again, there was not a lot of time to work with the two Lamborghinis Murcielago LP 670 R-SV.
The team wants to build upon its success in Portimao and score again. After a few technical setbacks everybody aims to score points with car #6 as well. The team is in fourth place in the championship at the moment.
“I have not driven the Murcielago on the Sachsenring circuit before. However, I know the track from my races in the Lamborghini Gallardo and I think that we have a good chance to be successful there,” says Dutch pilot Peter Kox.

The Sachsenring circuit traditionally attracts a lot of spectators. German TV station Sport1 will show highlights of the qualifying race on Saturday from 11:25-11:55 p.m. and will broadcast the complete championship race on Tuesday, May 17th from 3 p.m.
